Eureka Apex 2XT. When you buy a tent you want one that can at least handle three seasons of weather. The Eureka Apex 2xt Adventure Two-Person Tent has been the top choice for many people partly because of its three season capabilities.

You may have used many two-person tents in the past and have found that it can be a little cramped inside. You find that you can just about get two people in the tent and much of the time that means leaving all your gear outside.

Two people can camp with the Eureka Apex Tent and actually have enough room inside to feel comfortable with. For extra storage there are duel vestibules giving plenty of room for additional gear such as dirty boots, water containers, food that needs to be left out to cool, cooking utensils etc. These allow for twice the amount of storage space for gear while still keeping it all out of the rain which is great. I find these vestibules vital for comfortable cooking if the weather isn’t as great as you will be under protective cover. All you have to do is unzip rain fly a bit before starting a stove.

Another great feature the Eureka Apex 2xt has and not seen in many other tents are the two large entrance doors on both sides. This is a must have especially if you have a child that cannot keep still and keeps wanting to climb in and out of the tent every minute. The doors on both sides make entry and exit from the tent easy.

If you are not a fan of putting up tents then do not worry as Eureka are known for designing quick set up tents and the Apex 2XT is no different. It has a simple, lightweight two pole design where all you have to do is click out the poles, slip them through the tent corner to corner and then pop it into position. Couldn’t be simpler.

It is designed to be a backpacking tent but can also be put in the back of the car for the journey to your camp destination. Many backpacking tents have the problem of having a much too complicated a set up and more than three poles to position. Not great for a single camper in a rush to put up their tent in the rain. The Eureka Apex 2XT Adventure Two-Person Tent has just the two poles and can be erected by one person in just a few short minutes.

Just so you know, as with many backpacking tents, the floor is a light rip stop fabric and so you may benefit by getting an additional groundsheet to lay underneath the tent for extra protection against rips and tears.

Take a look at the unique shape of the Apex 2XT and notice its almost aerodynamic sleekness. It is low the ground and so perfect in very windy conditions. I have camped in high tents and in gusty winds I have to secure the tent down with additional ropes because of the movement. Not a nice feeling climbing out of the tent in the cold windy night to secure everything. Rest assured this will not happen with a Eureka Apex Tent.

Used in the rainy season this tent will keep you dry as all seams, particularly the critical ones are clean and well constructed. No frays, slop, or loose ends. Also, you may notice after an overnight sleep a tent will begin to get pretty stuffy inside especially if you are sleeping next to someone who doesn’t wash as much as they should!  The Eureka Apex 2XT Adventure Two-Person Tent breathes very well and creates very little condensation so no water drips on your dry clothes and no smelly feet smell in the tent. You would think you had your own little air conditioning unit inside.

All in all a great starter tent for the inexperienced or for a couple of kids going on a Boy Scout trip. This even works well for the experienced camper who likes things a little more extreme. It is not the lightest of backpacking tents but that is a small price to pay for it’s all round great comfort feature; great for moral after a long hard treck.

I've taken this tents on a few trips so far, and it's preformed very well. Although it's officially a three season tent, I used it in the snow and it worked just fine. I also slept through a thunderstorm in it and stayed completely dry. I also like the fly wings since they create a lot of storage space.

I spent one night in this tent in my backyard to test it out. It just so happened that we had unusually high winds for us, sustained around 50MPH.

When inside the tent I couldn't even tell it was windy other than the sound of the wind. There was no condensation build up in the night, and it's a great size.

It was also super easy to set up. My last tent took me at least 40 minutes to set up and turned me off camping a bit. This will definitely motivate me to camp more.
